25 March 2022 – Barcelona PCG welcomed Professor Rey Elbo, recipient of the award for the Best Article on Economics in Asia during the Ibero-American and Asian Economic Journalism Awards 2022.  The award was given on 23 March 2022 at the Bolivar Hall  of the Palacio de Linares, headquarters of Casa de América in Madrid.

The award jury cited Mr. Elbo’s article, “What’s the best employee feedback mechanism?” published in August 2019 by the Business World.  The award was presented by Mr. Manuel Muñiz, Provost of IE University.   Mr. Muñiz commented that, “It is important to recognize and shine light on leading journalism in the fields of economics and business, which intersects with the academic world to help us understand the world, its complexity and to anticipate its development. The world being recognized in this ceremony fulfills this very important mission”.

Mr. Elbo is journalist of the BusinessWorld (since 1993) and The Manila Times (since 2002).  In addition to his newspaper columns, he is also a book author, HR coach and Kaizen consultant.   Mr. Elbo is also the founder and chief strategist of Kairos Management Technologies.

During his call, the Consul General Maria Theresa S.M. Lazaro extended her felicitations to Mr. Elbo for his contributions in the field of Philippine business and economics as well as for garnering the prestigious award from Spain´s IE University. END
