05 March 2022 – Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Archbishop Emeritus of Manila, addressed the more than 1,000 youth from across Catalonia, Spain during the Conference-Dialogue entitled, “Welcome and Accompany New Generations” held at the Auditori Fòrum Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB) in Barcelona on 05 March 2022.
Cardinal Tagle spoke about the concept of evangelization as a conversation about Jesus which fosters unity. He encouraged the youth to think of it as a simple conversation among friends, family members, work colleagues, and social media followers. He exchanged views with a select number of youth representatives from the different parts of Catalonia and encouraged them to continue talking about Jesus with other people and living his teachings through simple deeds.
The event was attended by more than 1,500 people majority of whom are youth ministry agents, educators, and university students from higher education institutions across Catalonia, Spain. Also present were hundreds of volunteers of Caritas from the different dioceses based in Catalonia as well as officials of the City of Barcelona and the Catalan government, including Minister for Foreign Action and Open Government, Hon. Victoria Alsina, educators, university students from various higher learning institutions in Barcelona, and Caritas International, among others. END
