18 July 2024, Barcelona, Spain – The Philippine Consulate General Overseas Voting team in coordination with Stella Maris - a religious organization at the service of seafarers in Barcelona, successfully conducted another mobile OV registration aboard bulk carrier MV Stella L while docked at the Port of Barcelona.
Mr. Rogelio Cardenas, Captain of the MV Stella L bulk carrier, warmly welcomed the OV team and expressed his appreciation for the Consulate's efforts in bringing its services closer to seafarers and Filipinos in general.

The Consulate representatives also took the opportunity to conduct an information dissemination campaign on the Internet voting scheme for the upcoming 2025 Philippine midterm elections, which was warmly received by the Filipino crew members aboard the vessel.
On top of mobile and field registration missions in areas under the Consulate's jurisdiction, the Consulate is scheduled to conduct similar OV registration activities aboard cargo vessels and cruise ships until the COMELEC-set deadline in September 2024.
