The Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona successfully conducted the Final Lockdown and Sealing of the Online Voting and Counting System, held today, 11 April 2025, at the Consulate premises. The activity was led by Vice Consul Lee D. Gano, Chair of the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) in Barcelona.

This critical procedure ensures that the automated election system is secure, uninitialized, and contains ZERO votes, in line with the Commission on Elections' (COMELEC) guidelines. It also demonstrates the Consulate's commitment to upholding transparency, integrity, and credibility in the overseas electoral process.

The Overseas Voting Period for the 2025 Philippine National Elections will officially begin on Sunday, 13 April 2025 at 8:00 AM, and will run until Monday, 12 May 2025.

All registered overseas Filipino voters under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona are encouraged to exercise their right to vote during this period.
